Collaboration Process
Communication
All communication will occur in a private Discord channel. Status updates, feedback, proposals, and reversible decisions can be managed through chat, email, or document sharing. On rare occasions, such as important decisions, debates, and discussions, we will organize meetings.
To assess mutual fit, schedule a 30-minute introductory conversation.
Setting goals
Take a moment to assess what you truly need. Before we work together, make a clear list of your needs, resources, and how you'd like to collaborate:
-
Is the project well defined, or do you need help to plan it?
-
What’s the primary business goal of the project?
-
What are your hard & soft deadlines? Are there any key milestones you want to lay out?
-
Who is the primary audience for this project?
-
How will we know we’ve succeeded?
-
Do you have an established design system? If so, do you have internal reviewers who can reliably provide feedback on how my work fits in?
-
List all stakeholders on the project.
Feedback
-
Select one team member as the main point of contact or "feedback champion" to synthesize and deliver all feedback, avoiding multiple submissions.
-
Write down feedback to make sure it's all communicated and can be referenced later.
-
Synthesize team feedback so I don't have to resolve conflicting opinions.
-
Provide timely feedback by baking it into your schedule and internal process. Plan time after presentations to synthesize and swiftly deliver any additional feedback.
